Vata is made up of air and ether, and governs everything that moves in the body and mind. When Vata is balanced, it fosters inspiration, creativity, flexibility, and quick intuition. When out of balance, it can lead to anxiety, insecurity, sleep problems, and dryness – both mentally and physically.

Pitta - Focus, fire and transformation

Pitta is made up of fire and a little water. It governs digestion, drive, ambition and sharpness. When balanced, Pitta brings clarity, strength, courage and efficiency. When out of balance, it can manifest as irritation, performance stress, inflammation or overheating – both in the body and in emotions.

Kapha - Stability, security, and perseverance

Kapha is made up of earth and water and is the grounding energy of the body. In balance, Kapha brings calmness, thoughtfulness, patience, and strong endurance. When unbalanced, it can lead to a feeling of heaviness, mucus, swelling, sluggishness, or difficulty letting go and getting started..
