In a world where stress, overachievement and constant availability are often praised, other perspectives are also needed.
Here are four Ayurvedic rituals I think highlight something important: how we can create power, balance and health through fewer actions – and more being (to lower cortisol and boost vitality & glow).
1. Anchor yourself in the identity above
A portal to a new era of femininity. One where you actually become MORE healthy, vital, radiant, aligned, magnetic, beautiful, connected and ALIVE - by trying LESS.
Remember that you are born to be exceptionally healthy, happy and hungry for life. Reclaim this potential as your birthright (because it is).
2. Practise pleasure
A natural and fundamental pillar of the feminine is pleasure (the masculine is the energy of duty). That is why we, as women, make life so beautiful and worth living - not just for ourselves, but for everyone around us. We are the very embodiment of pleasure when we allow ourselves to be in our essence.
And pleasure can literally heal years of pent-up trauma, tension, pain and trapped emotions - which over time are often the real root cause behind chronic ill-health.
3. Beauty as a spiritual practice
Massage the face with a kansa wand whilst listening to mantras. Warm oil and massage into your hair and scalp. Create a sensual altar with flowers, essential oils and feminine goddesses. Watch your inner radiance flow freely as the mental grip of logic, performance and duty is replaced by presence, sensuality and devotion.
4. Var din Shakti
Recite the mantra to the goddess, and no, you don't need to become a hemp-wearing granola hippie to do it.
Say this mantra (when you wake up, in the car, at the gym or wherever you like) to invite the goddess Lakshmi of abundance, beauty, fertility and prosperity into your body and reality. (She is said to shine with the radiance of a thousand suns.)
